THE MONDAY MORNING BLOG

I dream of days like today. I love and appreciate what I get to do for a living because it affords me so many awesome opportunities. After I host the show today, I will hurry over to WKYC Channel 3 to co-host GOOD COMPANY with ANDREA VECCHIO. Today's guests include BROWN'S legend BERNIE KOSAR and for CAVS player and current announcer AUSTIN CARR.

After I do TV, I head out to CANTERBURY for media day. The PGA is hosting next month's major tournament there and is giving the media a chance to play the golf course. Although I am excited to play the course for the first time, I feel less than ready to play this season. I have only played 9 holes this spring and have hit the driving range only once. No matter how I play, I am thrilled to play the course!

On Saturday night, I took in a TRIBE game from the Home Run Porch. The TRIBE lost big to the Twins....but it was great to finally have baseball weather in Cleveland!
I went to game 2 of The CAVS/Pistons play-off series at The Q with our financial expert KEVIN MYEROFF. I love that The CAVS swept Detroit and made a major statement to the rest of the league...I stand by my pre-season prediction; CAVS over the Lakers in 6 games...

My daughter GABBY played her second-ever Travel Soccer game on Sunday. The weather was awesome. Her Nordonia Hills team tied Chagrin Falls 2-2.

I hit the driving range at SLEEPY HOLLOW late Sunday afternoon to get ready for CANTERBURY Monday. I got a lot of sun and sliced quite a bit...except for the times when I pulled it deep left.... : )

WILDE AND FEE SHOW FEATURED IN THE PLAIN DEALER THIS WEEK

WQAL FM/104.1, "Wilde and Fee"
Adult contemporary music with Allan Fee and Rebecca Wilde, Glenn Anderson and Producer Nick, 5 to 10 a.m.
Who listens to your show and why? Fee: "We have everyone from soccer moms and their families to working-class people. People who listen to our show want to know what's happening around Cleveland, get the latest in pop culture and hear real-life stories.
How do you prepare? Everyone on our show lives the lifestyle of our audience. Rather than have long meetings about the next day's show, we all get out and live life and make it come out of the radio the next morning. We are all passionate about music, pop culture, sports and what's happening around town.

FUN WITH PHOTOSHOP...

Late last week, I had made several attempts at comedy at the expense of internet sensation SUSAN BOYLE. She is the lady who sings a lot better than she looks. She was featured on that show SIMON COWELL does overseas. Once it hit YOUTUBE, she became an internet hit. She is 47 years old and never been kissed. Her voice is amazing. After I took heat from listeners about hitting so hard about her appearance, LISTENER STEVE took it upon himself to fire back....

FLEETWOOD MAC

Friday night was the first time that I had ever seen FLEETWOOD MAC. I appreciate great music and try to see as many of the legendary bands as I can. Although they are beyond their prime, they were still awesome!

I snapped these two pix pre-concert on my i-phone.

PLAY BALL!!!

I was quite busy during the first week of baseball season! After attending OPENING DAY at Progressive Field, I went to the next two games in the opening series against Toronto....here are some snapshots from the i-phone......

These were great seats down the right field line. Interesting angle to watch the game.
After The Tribe headed out of town, I headed to Pittsburgh to catch the home opener at PNC Park against Houston. No, I'm not a Pirate fan. I'm a baseball fan. The hat was free when you walked in the stadium...and who can resist a mascot photo-op?
I really like Pittsburgh's PNC Park. I love the skyline of the city towering over the outfield. I also like the amazing view from atop of the walkway out near right field. It's a great place to watch the game.

It’s been a tough opening week for The Tribe. I’ve attended all three home games so far. I’m so glad baseball is back!
1-6 is so hard to understand. But it’s only the first week. This Indians team will heat up with the weather. Remember, we had the hottest team in baseball the second half of the season last year. The Indians know how to turn it on. This slow start might just be what we need to ignite some fire in the ballclub. Cliff Lee and Fausto Carmona are too good for this early slump to last too long. PRONK is back….3 HomeRuns already….relax…it’s April…..there’s time….

RANDOM IPHONE PIX FROM THE WEEK...

ALDADDIN'S is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. This week I stopped by the Independence location with PRODUCER NICK and "LETHARGIC" MARK for a post show lunch. The Veggie Combo is the best!
My daughter GABBY made the U-10 girls' travel team this spring. Here she models her new NHSA Travel uniform.

VAL and her husband TODD design both this website and my NHSA soccer website. VAL insists that we have meetings at her favorite places. This is a post-show breakfast at REGGIE'S on Friday in Cuyahoga Falls..I'm still recovering from this huge meal....this is only part of it...

On Wednesday, I joined my friend KEN at The Q for the game against the Wizards. The Cavs won big again...and just last night clinched the best record in The Eastern Conference!

Winters in Cleveland often turn into too many nights out at restaurants and bars to pass the time. With the weather getting better and golf season here, I have stepped up my workouts to include both cardio and weights. As you can see from the above pix, the food plan needs to be re-addressed too....this pic was snapped between cardio and the leg-press.

GLOBETROTTIN' WITH "MOO MOO"

'MOO MOO' from the HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS stopped by the show on Thursday morning to promote their visit to The Q later this month. It brought back awesome memories when I got to play against The GLOBETROTTERS in a promotional game in the late 80's with the WASHINGTON GENERALS. I played two minutes and score 1 point.

THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS...

The HANNAH MONTANA movie comes out tomorrow. EMILY OSMENT from the TV show and movie stopped by the show to talk about it and her appearance at THE IX CENTER tonight and tomorrow.

HAPPY EASTER!!!

THIS IS OUR TEAM...OUR TOWN...OUR TIME...

THE CAVS host Washington at The Q tonight...it's so hard to believe they are 37-1 at The Q this season....I'm standing by my before-the-season prediction; CAVS win title over the Lakers in 6 games! Tonight is a must-win over the Wizards...we are only a half game up over the Lakers for the best record and homecourt advantage in the play-offs!

"ROCK THE PUZZLE"

Friday's "ROCK THE PUZZLE" fundraiser to fight autism was a huge success this past week! Over 500 people joined us at The House of Blues along with 5 great bands and an awesome auction. Organizer MARIANNE SEAMAN along with "GOOD COMPANY's" ANDREA VECCHIO from Channel 3 were instrumental in making the night come together.

GO CAVS!

SNAPSHOTS OF MY DAUGHTER GABBY

My daughter GABBY has started U-10 travel soccer this spring....this pic is from tonight's first outdoor practice of the season.....
Sportin' the "27" hat.

FEAR THE WORM!!!

THE "CONFICKER WORM" may not have shut down the internet...yet...but apparently it got to our show....LOL...we had a lot of fun on our show talking about the computer virus that was featured on this week's 60 MINUTES....not sure we will be laughing if it really hits....
